Background Information

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Sanfilippo manages a wide variety of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth and Facial Regions. Dr. Sanfilippo practices a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including the following:

• Facial Surgery
• Corrective Jaw Surgery
• Wisdom Tooth Removal
• Diagnosis and Treatment of TMJ Disorders
• Facial Injuries
• Difficult Extractions
• Oral Pathology including Biopsy and Treatment
• Apicoectomy
• Oral Medicine

Dr. Sanfilippo and his staff are trained in IV Sedation and General Anesthesia, with a special emphasis on medically compromised patients and children. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery in our state-of-the-art office setting.


Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Soundview Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants who assist in the administration of IV Sedation and surgery. All staff are CPR certified and are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies.
